South East Teaching Programme

The South East Region runs a comprehensive educational programme for GP Registrars, which includes regional and local teaching. There are specific programmes for Registrars in GP posts and those in hospital posts.

This information gives a summary of the many educational opportunities you can access over the period of your GP training in the South East of Scotland, to compliment the experience you gain whilst in practice.

Current teaching programme information and timetables can be accessed via the TURAS site for GP Registrar Teaching Resources:

In addition to the teaching programme, we also:

  • Provide induction support at the start of each training year
  • Support mandatory elements of training, by liaising with local BLS course providers and safeguarding sessions
  • Support Registrars to access important national NES resources such as AKT webinars and SCA introduction courses

You may also wish to refer to the study leave guidance NES study leave guidance when looking through what is on offer to you.
