The South-East regional office of the Scotland Deanery oversees training in Borders, Fife and Lothian. The Office is based in the historical heart of Edinburgh in Westport 102, a new building close to the Grassmarket and Edinburgh Castle.
The Westport has a bloody history as the home of the infamous body snatchers Burke & Hare, who supplied bodies to the nearby Medical School for dissection. Today the area is a lively mixture of specialist shops and bars, historic streets and views of Edinburgh Castle.
The SE region has a strong focus on academic medical training as well as providing well regarded clinical programmes.
The South East of Scotland is a great place to live and work, and we hope you will find the pages helpful in finding our more about the region, programmes.
