SAS Training Calendar

8th Scottish SAS Conference, 21st March 2025 (online)

The SAS Development Programme's 8th Scottish SAS National Conference took place via MS Teams on Friday 21st March 2025, 13:45-17:00. This half-day online event featured a variety of expert speakers giving presentations on topics selected specifically for those in the SAS grades. It was free to attend, and certificates of attendance were issued to delegates with 3 NES-recommended CPD points.

The programme was as follows:

SAS Communication Challenges Workshop	Tues 21st October 2025, 09:30-16:30 (in-person, Edinburgh) - fully booked Tues 4th November 2025, 09:30-16:30 (in-person, Edinburgh) - fully booked	This immersive, interactive workshop will equip participants with the skills and confidence to have better conversations in challenging circumstances. SAS GMC Professionalism online workshop	Thurs 23rd October, 2025, 09:15-16:00 - fully booked	This interactive workshop will examine the key principles from GMP in relation to leadership & management, raising and acting on concerns about patient safety and the impact that professional behaviour has on patient safety, staff morale and working environments. SAS GMC Caring for Workforce Under Pressure online workshop	Thurs 13th November 2025, 09:30-12:30 - fully booked Thurs 22nd January 2026, 09:30-12:30 - fully booked Fri 27th February 2026, 09:30 - 12:30	This new workshop delivered by the GMC considers workforce well-being and how individuals have the potential to make a positive difference. The session covers both individual and team wellbeing and how to improve the normal working day, whilst acknowledging the importance of systems issues. Health Board local SAS events

The SAS Development Programme support a number of local events for education and networking, specifically for SAS within their regional health boards. Information will be provided through your regional Education Adviser. Currently scheduled local events are listed below.
