Performance Support Course

Previously 'Supporting Trainees with Difficulties' course.

 

Aims and objectives

 To increase participants' confidence in recognising and managing trainees requiring additional support.

Specific Learning outcomes

  • Recognise the multi-factorial influences on individual performance and conduct.
  • Differentiate between the roles of those directly involved in managing poor performance or allegations of misconduct.
  • Implement locally, processes for remediation, assessment and management.

Target audience

Educational Supervisors, Foundation Programme Directors, Training Programme Directors, General Practitioners and Directors of Medical Education who are involved in the management of trainee doctors experiencing difficulties.

Cancellations and refunds: Please note that full automated refund can be generated from the Portal for cancellations up to 4 weeks prior to the course.  Within 4 weeks of the course date, refunds may be given in exceptional circumstances only.  NES reserves the right to remove anyone from a course, without the offer of a refund, if they are unable to fully participate.
