The Royal College Advanced Certificate in Clinical Education covers all essential trainer prerequisites and provides learning opportunities specifically tailored to meet the needs of experienced trainers. The course focuses on enabling delegates to relate and constructively apply relevant educational theory to their ongoing clinical education practice.

Format of the course:
To provide necessary flexibility to potential participants, the College has restructured the course content to enable remote delivery and participation. It will however, retain interactive small-group elements that enhance the quality of the learning experience.
The course has two live elements: a 1-hour introductory session and a 3-hour interactive session. In addition, participants will be required to complete 8 hours of individual activity and online learning before the final session. For award of the Advanced Certificate, participants are also required to submit a post-course reflective essay which meets the requirements of written work at level 11 of the SCQF.
