RCPE hybrid symposium: Joint Renal and Diabetes/Endocrinology symposium

Course/Event Description

oin the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh for our first joint specialty symposium. In this one-day event, we will cover a variety of topics which showcase the intersection of nephrology and diabetes/endocrinology and joint working between these specialties.

Sessions will include:

• An approach to the renal patient with diabetes in the community
• Management of the pregnant patient with diabetic nephropathy
• Electrolyte disturbances and their management
• Management of hypertension in chronic kidney disease
• The steroid dependent patient – what to do?

This symposium will provide clinically relevant talks delivered by experts in their field, and is particularly recommended to consultants, trainees, specialty doctors and specialty nurses working in nephrology, diabetes & endocrinology or general internal medicine, and general practitioners and their colleagues involved in chronic disease management in the community.
