Course/Event Date: Friday, May 1, 2020
Course/Event Duration: 1 Day
This joint meeting between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the Royal Society of Medicine will play host to a variety of eminent speakers from acute care, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, RSM and the airline industry who will share theitr knowledge and expertise on patient safety and quality improvement, staff wellbeing and human factors. Interactive workshops will allow delegates to explore particular topics in more depth and discover ways to improve patient care in everyday practice.
Delegates who have submitted abstracts will have the opportunity to share their projects with peers and colleagues from other organisations in an all-teach all-learn environment. We welcome abstracts based on audits, quality improvement projects or prototypes of new devices or software that may be useful in patient safety. Each submission should define a problem in the hospital or community setting related to patient safety and describe how a solution clearly addresses this problem. Shortlisted submissions will be invited for oral and/or poster presentation, and the presentations must be given by the submitting candidate. Please ensure before submitting your abstract that you will be free to present at the Patient Safety Section meeting in May. Please refer to the download tab on the website for more information and how to submit; the dealdine for submissions is 27th March 2020.
