Returning for its seventh year, our flagship medical conference will provide up-to-date information on the optimal management of acutely ill patients within the first 24 hours of admission. Focusing on the most common situations that present in busy receiving wards, a range of topics and specialties will be covered during the 2-day event, including:
Respiratory Diabetes and metabolic medicine Cardiology Gastroenterology Acute medicine Mistakes and how to avoid them Stroke and geriatric medicine
Keynote lectures will focus on contemporary issues such as lessons for the NHS from the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and health inequalities.

As part of the event, we will hold a poster competition and submissions close next Friday, 27 August 2021. We welcome abstracts on a range of topics relating to the initial management of patients in general medicine or a medical speciality.
The top six abstracts will be selected for oral presentation during the conference and all other successful submissions will be displayed on a digital poster showcase throughout the event. Please find poster submission guidelines attached for reference.
The event will be delivered in both a face to face and digital format but please note that due to high demand, all face to face seats are now sold out. There are still plenty of online spaces available with the conference offering keynote lectures, topical presentations and interactive sessions as well as ample opportunity to pose questions and share opinions with fellow attendees.
