FPD and Trainer Events

Foundation Programme Development Day - Thursday, 27 February 2027

All Foundation Programme Directors (FPDs) are encouraged to attend the Foundation Programme Development Day. This annual event brings together Foundation School staff, FPDs and administrators who are involved with the training of foundation doctors.

Our next  FPD Development Day, will Thursday, 25 February 2027 at Dundee Dental Education Centre DDEC - Registration link to be sent November 2026.

NES Foundation School Trainer Teaching Repository

This repository is for Trainers. All FPDs and Associate Postgraduate Deans have access to the whole site and educational coordinators (DMEs Administration teams and Postgraduate Centres) have access to the speaker note section. 

FPD Development Sessions (monthly)

A programme of event for all FPDs is now available on the Trainer Repository - see FPD Development Sessions section.

NES Foundation School Information Hub (restricted access)

This is a restricted access hub aimed at FPDs and APGDs and is used for providing secure access to STEP forms for incoming F1s and standalone F2s.

The hub also provides information to FPDs about foundation doctors who still are required to sit PSA.
