NES Bereavement Education Conference, November 2019

Registration now open – free, one-day NES Bereavement Education Conference, November 2019

 

Starting with the end in mind; A realistic approach to bereavement and resilience

Delegates can now register interest in attending NHS Education for Scotland’s (NES) inaugural bereavement education conference which has a particular focus on the educational needs of medical staff. Scotland’s Chief Medical Officer, Catherine Calderwood, will open the free one-day event and delegates will have the opportunity to attend a range of plenary and workshop sessions on bereavement-related topics.

 

A strong emphasis will be placed on case scenarios throughout the day, to maximise the potential for practical clinical application. Closing the day will be Adam Kay, author of the award-winning bestseller, This is Going to Hurt.

 

Amongst the topics that will be covered: 

-      Managing legal processes after a death

  • Dealing with sudden and unexpected deaths
  • Child bereavement
  • Understanding the needs of LGBT+ people around death and bereavement

 

The deadline for registering interest in attending is Friday 23rd August.
