Careers Management – Trainee Rep Post

Who are we?

 

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is an education and training body and a special health board within NHS Scotland, with responsibility of developing and delivering education and training for the healthcare workforce in Scotland. As part of this remit the Careers Management Group is a committee with special interests in career development for medical trainees.

 

What you will do

 

  • Trainee representatives will represent the trainee body as a whole and provide input and analysis on trainee issues.
  • Trainee will be expected to attend  three Career Management meetings a year.
  • Trainee may be asked to canvas/survey their fellow trainees to help the Group formulate policy
  • Trainee may be asked to attend workshops and conferences related to Career management

 

What you will bring to the post

 

  • Planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
