Personal Health - FAQs
The Scottish Government has re-introduced shielding as part of the current effort to slow the spread of coronavirus and limit the number of people who fall seriously ill as a result of infection. From midnight on Tuesday 5th January 2021 all people at highest clinical risk will be required to work from home, and if they cannot do so, they should not work. A CMO notification will be sent out during the week beginning 4th January 2021. This will act as a fit note for as long as the new additional lockdown measures require to be in place - initially until the end of January 2021. This CMO note means that a GP fit-note will not be required.
If you have a serious underlying medical condition which puts you at high risk if you were to be affected by COVID19, we suggest that you discuss your individual situation with your Occupational Health Department in the first instance. You must also complete the required personal risk assessment form HERE
