The West Region covers a wide geographical area and oversees training in the Health Boards of Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Ayrshire and Arran, Dumfries and Galloway, Forth Valley and Lanarkshire, with a total population of 2.55 million. Within that area, the West Region is responsible for the management and provision of education and training to doctors. The West Region is based at 177 Bothwell Street, not far from Glasgow City Centre.
