Course/Event Description

The Turner -Warwick lecture scheme, is the RCP’s prestigious national competition that helps celebrate the work and achievements of resident doctors across the UK. It is one of the few competitions that offers resident doctors an opportunity to experience pitching a lecture to a general medical audience and aims to foster life-long skills in public speaking.

Entries can be made in one of the following categories: Clinical Research, successful quality improvement programme and successful quality improvement programme.

In previous years, many Turner-Warwick winners have applied because the scheme was recommended to them by a senior colleague. Applicants also require a supporting statement from a consultant or SAS doctor who can sponsor their work and comment on their suitability to present in a formal lecture environment.

If a resident doctor in your network has significant research, QIP or educational achievements, please consider sharing information about the scheme (below).
