Inter-Foundation School Transfers (IFST)

The IFST process exists to support for F1s who are currently part of a 2-year Foundation Programme, but require to move to another location within the UK for F2 or prior to commencing F1.

• The process has been designed to support transfers across Foundation Schools in cases where individual circumstances have changed since initial allocation or application. Transfers will only be allowed if circumstances have changed.
• More details about the timeline and application forms to be completed can be found on the UKFPO website. Please read the criteria that must be met for an IFST.
• Each application form now requires Foundation School and Foundation School Director (FSD) input, this is applicable for applicants who are in a current Foundation training programme. The FSD is not reviewing and making a decision about the outcome, this is the responsibility of the national IFST review panel.
