Vulval Disease, Essentials for Everyone

Introduction

This is a one-day virtual course aimed at all healthcare professionals working in women’s health.  The course is designed to help you feel confident in the examination, diagnosis and treatment of common vulval conditions. We will cover vulval history and examination; the impact of vulval disease; common vulval conditions including lichen sclerosus and genitourinary symptoms of menopause; how to spot VIN; vulval pain; psychosexual therapy and vulval dermatology across skin tones.

The course will appeal to everyone working in women’s health, including GPs, advanced clinical practitioners, specialist nurses, menopause specialists, practice nurses and midwives. Over the day the attendees will cover all aspects of vulval disease, and medical trainees in dermatology, genitourinary medicine and obstetrics and gynaecology will cover the core vulval curriculum for their speciality.
