Call for Abstracts for PeriopMan Resident Conference 2026 - Innovation and insight
The Manchester Perioperative Medicine Society invites submissions for the abstract competition at the Perioperative Medicine Trainee Conference, to be held on 27 February 2026.
This competition aims to promote academic excellence and innovation in perioperative medicine by providing a forum for residents to present original research, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and clinically relevant case reports
This is a nationally recognised conference accredited by the RCoA and would be great opportunity for anaesthetic residents to build their CV by presenting at a national scientific meeting.
Key points:

Abstracts must be original work and ≤300 words

Standard scientific structure: Title, Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions

Formatting: Times New Roman, single-spaced, A4, 1-inch margins

Figures and tables are permitted

Abstracts should be submitted as a Word document (.doc/.docx)

Notification of acceptance: week of 20th February 2026

Accepted abstracts will be presented as oral presentations (virtually) at the scientific meeting on 27th Feburary

- Cash prizes for top three presentations
Residents interested in presenting or gaining academic experience are strongly encouraged to submit. Please ensure abstracts are proofread and meet the formatting requirements prior to submission.
