EEG in the ICU 1-Day Meeting (1)

Registration price:  £55.00

The overall aim of the course is to improve understanding of the use of EEG in various ITU settings including status epilepticus, acute brain injury and post-cardiac arrest, as well as the advantages and limitations of different EEG modalities. This is a practical course that includes live demonstrations and illustrative cases.

  • Anticipated learning outcomes:
  • Better knowledge of the EEG as a neurophysiological technique, non-epileptiform and epileptiform abnormalities, as well as its limitations
  • An understanding of the role of EEG in the treatment of critically ill patients with a variety of underlying conditions including in status epilepticus, brain injury and following cardiac arrest
  • An appreciation of the advantages and limitations of continuous and intermittent EEG
  • Practical insights into setting up an ICU EEG service

We do have a waiting list for the day made up of those we could not accommodate last year, and places are allocated on a first come first served basis.
