Scottish GP Trainer Inspire Course – has been specifically developed for experienced Scottish GP educators to help them reflect on their practice and extend their current skills to suit the needs of a future GP workforce. This is a one-day face to face workshop providing a secure environment for meaningful learning.  Courses will be available thought out the year in various locations in Scotland

Target Audience

Experienced GP Educational Supervisors who have had 5 + years of supervising GP speciality doctors.

Course Aim

  1. Learn about current educational paradigms and how to put theory into practice
  2. To acquire advanced educational tools to support future GP training needs – looking forward to the -        needs of our future GPs
  3. Provide a supportive environment for experienced ESs to reflect on and share lessons they have learnt as a trainer.

Learning Outcomes

  • An understanding of modern medical education paradigms
  • Extended leadership and mentoring skills to help prepare doctors for the future.
  • Gain an awareness of their own practice and learning environment and how this marries future educational needs

Cost

The cost of the one-day course is £175 payable upon booking by credit or debit card.

Cancellations and refunds: Please note that full automated refund can be generated from Turas Learn for cancellations up to 4 weeks prior to the course.  Within 4 weeks of the course date, refunds may be given in exceptional circumstances only.  NES reserves the right to remove anyone from a course, without the offer of a refund, if they are unable to fully participate.  Delegates should attend for the full day, and not be on call otherwise they may be removed from the course and will not receive a certificate.
