Your development
This is a one-day online course for Primary* and Secondary care clinicians. For those in Primary care you may be a Foundation supervisor, a Retainer Mentor, or acting as a Clinical Supervisor in the OOH setting only. For those in Secondary care you should either be a Clinical or an Educational Supervisor for Foundation, Specialty or GPSTs.
The course aims to assist you to develop your skills and confidence in those roles and to take on new challenges.
It can be used to demonstrate ongoing development in relation to the Recognition of Trainers process at appraisal and revalidation and is mapped to all 7 of the AoME framework areas. It is particularly suitable for trainers of more than 3 years’ experience.

*This course is not for GPs who are GPST Educational Supervisors, as this group of trainers would be served by other TDC courses.

Cancellations and refunds: Please note that full automated refund can be generated from the Portal for cancellations up to 4 weeks prior to the course. Within 4 weeks of the course date, refunds may be given in exceptional circumstances only. NES reserves the right to remove anyone from a course, without the offer of a refund, if they are unable to fully participate.
Currently there are no Advanced Medical Educators Courses (AMEC) planned. Should you wish to receive information when/if the courses resume, please email us on nes.tdc.admin@nes.scot.nhs.uk with your contact details and we will get in touch once we have any information regarding AMEC.
The online workshop will be held on the Adobe Connect app. By booking onto this course you are committing to download the Adobe Connect app (instructions will be given upon booking) and using Adobe Connect as instructed. You will be expected to have your webcam visible during the course. Delegate visibility and interaction is essential.
Please DO NOT use mobiles phones, iPads/tablets to join a workshop, as this may significantly restrict your ability to fully participate. In doing so, you risk being removed from the workshop by facilitators.
Delegates should use a device other than their phone, iPad/tablet to participate and it is the delegate's responsibility to ensure they can access the workshop appropriately and have sufficient connection speed to participate.
Delegates should take part in a short audio-visual test with a course facilitator, in advance of the workshop. Test dates and times will be made available upon booking.
